Lovely Gift Box with Slide Ribbon Lid

Today I'd like to show you a lovely little gift box that I've made - in fact I loved it so much I made two!  I was inspired by a fabulous Video Tutorial from Linda Parker at Paper Craft With Crafty and you can click the links above to have a looksee for yourself.

As the box is double layered, it makes it really sturdy and could be used for lots of things, for example, some lovely chocolates (it actually fits 6 or 7 Ferrero Rocher Chocolates inside), or you could use it for some lovely little smellies, or even some lovely little notelets could fit inside! (in fact, I'll be making some at a later date, so watch this space)!.

So, I decided to use Basic Black and Very Vanilla A4 Cardstock as I think the colours married together are quite striking.  I stamped the lid with a beautiful versatile Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set with Stazon Jet Black Ink.  I do think it looks so elegant, don't you?  I'm so loving these boxes!  I used some sheer ribbon that I had in my crafty stash already, but there is a gorgeous black ribbon available in the catalogue if you need to buy some.  I finished off the box with a decorative flower made from the pansy punch stamp set.  Youi can buy the stamp set and the punch separately, but they are also available as a bundle which if you order, will save you 15%!
