Christmas Stocking Fillers Series #1 - Covered Notebook with Calendar using In-Colours 2016-2018 Homemade For You

Hello everyone, thank you for popping by today!

I've come out of the woodwork as family life seems to have settled down a little bit and as Christmas is fast approaching, thought I'd best get cracking with making some Christmas Stocking Fillers.  So, the first in this series was inspired by my very talented Upline Lea (aka The Crafty Spark) who made some gorgeous covered notebooks last year.  I hope you like what I've made using the In-Colours 2016-2018 Designer Series Paper and complimentary Cardstock.

In-Colours Designer Series Paper Homemade For You

Homemade For You In-Colours 2016-2018 Calendar

You can see inside there is a handy little calendar which was purchased on EBay (HERE), and the envelope was made using the Stampin' Up! Envelope Maker - ideal for stamps or even receipts (if you're a spenda-holic like me!) :) ;)

In-Colour Designer Series Paper Notebook Calendar

I'm loving these as Christmas gifts and the In-Colour Designer Series Paper Stack is just simply gorgeous - I've no doubt you will fall in love with it!

The cover is held together with a small magnet on each side of the covers (link to purchase magnets).  Place a magnet on the left cover (before adding your Designer Series Paper mat so that it's hidden).

When layering the closure, place the other magnet on top of the white circle and let it "naturally" find the magnet below.  Then clue half of the white circle down to the front cover sheet and add the smaller circle mats in place (which in turn hides the magnets).

I really do love the way it's turned out and hope you do too. :)

11 1/2" x 6"MEASUREMENTS & DIRECTIONS
  1. I used a Pad (from The Range) measuring  4 1/2 " x  6"
  2. Cut a piece of cardstock measuring ;
  3. Score with the long side at the top at4 3/8", 4 5/8", 9", 91/2 .... ..... ..... ..... .....
  4. Fold and burnish each score line with a bonefolder so that it is crisp;
  5. Cut  2 x mats in whisper white measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/4";
  6. Cut 2 x  mats in DSP (Designer Series Paper) measuring 3 7/8" x 4 7/8"
  7. Layer outside and inside covers of the notebook and adhere the memo pad firmly in place;
  8. Cut 3 circles.  The largest white circle measures 2 1/2";  the scalloped circle measures 1 3/4" and the smaller white circle measures 1"

AND THAT'S IT!

Look what's coming next!

I loved making it so much, I decided to make a bigger version!  Come back soon as I hope to be bringing you another tutorial on how to make this one.
